Gail & Conor’s Cyprus Avenue Festival Wedding

Crazy Love

Gail & Conor met on a random night out, don’t you love it when fate conspires in your favour. After a long distance romance from Belfast to the Isle of Man, the two made things official and then planned their wedding in no time. They are both bundles of enthusiasm and energy – like the human equivalent of a good cuppa coffee. Chatting about their plans I couldn’t help but get excited. And when the day came it did not disappoint.

Cyprus Avenue

Conor’s dad and sister both live on the iconic Cyprus Avenue so why would you hold your wedding anywhere else. The pair tied the knot in their own gorgeous garden with a beautiful ceremony by Jean Barrett Quinn . With dad’s house a short walk down Comber Greenway away, the couple and all their guests did the most fun wedding march ever with balloons and champagne from the ceremony to the party. It would be remiss of me not to mention Conor had sadly lost his mum not long before their ceremony so the emotion was everywhere and little tributes to Maura were a big part of the day. giving their guests a great day was definitely high on their list of priorities. They served fantastic food by the Edible Flower and had festival marquees in the garden decorated by a family friend. Thankfully the weather behaved itself and it only started raining in time to send everyone into the tent to dance the night away.

Moondance

Gail and Conor had picked Galway band Five Mile Circus as their wedding band and they did not disappoint. From their reworking of Donna Summer’s Last Dance for their first dance to the epic limbo competition on the dancefloor and confetti cannons everywhere. This was the party of the century. I bet you can’t watch the slideshow without dancing a bit in your chair.

(Ps yes all those headings are Van Morrison songs!)
